Kitchen Design Expert
Tony Kirk is a Kitchen Design Expert. He emphasizes the need for users to consider work flow in a kitchen. For instance, a triangle may work, but cooks need to think through the tasks they perform routinely and design their space around that. Tony appreciates good design in a space, no matter how large or small the budget, and he feels functional design can be achieved by everyone.
At the Institute, Tony educates consumers on how to consider space in the kitchen when planning their kitchen use. Consumers who plan where they would prefer to have storage versus where they would prefer to prepare and cook will improve their cooking and entertaining experiences.
Tony's kitchen necessity is his cooktop. Although the cooktop is often forgotten about as a key component in kitchen design, this is the area where much of the food preparation, and of course cooking, take place.
