She says microwave users should attend to the cooking “don't walk away."  The food tends to cook better if it is stirred or rearranged throughout the heating process.

Evelyn's eco-friendly tip: Prevent soils from building up in the microwave, by cleaning the microwave once a week. Simply boil a cup of water in the microwave for two to three minutes, wiping out any residue. Additionally, Evelyn suggests using the dishwasher to keep the turntable spotless.
